It took 8 months (give or take a year and a half.)  But on June 27th at 6:00PM, 679 North Michigan Avenue booted up to become the newest and grandest Apple Store in their orchard!  Phil was there to take some shots of what it was like.

Here below are some pictures of the faithful multitudes who assembled in front of the brand spanking new Apple Store for her grand opening night!

 

Last November, construction began on the old Gap store.

Now fast forward to June 27th, 2003.  7:30AM!
The word is out!

...that stretched a full block down Huron Street!
The busiest section of North Michigan Ave that day for sure!
The line extends east to St. Claire and heads south!
