penguin chick pictureHI EVERYBODY!!

There are a lot of different and fun things that you can do in Gatlinburg, but this is where Phil and Angie went to first!

See you later!

Once we had decided where to go, this was THE first and most important place on our (well Angie's) list of places to visit!  The cool thing about Dollywood is that if you go after 3PM, you get in FREE the next day. Which is exactly what we did!

Main entrance to Dollywood.
A reproduction of an old Texaco gas station.
One of two narrow-gauge FUNCTIONAL steam locomotives at Dollywood
Rounding the bend.
The Dollywood Express station.
Michael in front of the train.
This was a water ride that we would take the following day.
The water pump actually shoots water at the riders.
There is a fish and turtle-stocked stream that runs through the park.
Big goldfish!
This boy wanted to eat...NOW!
Nice waterfall.
Winner of an American Chopper Paul Sr. look-alike contest?
On the way to the parking lot to Dollywood, is a river in Pigeon Forge.
These ducks were eating on the dam falls.
Watching the dam drive the water wheel.
Swans just upstream from the fall.
A nice operational shot.
Six Feet Under, Dollywood -style
Peek-a-boo
I see you!
Trying out one the features of Phil's new digicam!
Dollywood has a live glass blowing exhibition and shop.
Making the pitcher larger.
Attaching the handle.
A very Rube Goldberg-like contraption.  Didn't keep very good time, which is probably why it is the only one!
How it's supposed to work.
This was Dollywood's 20th anniversary.
There is a whole collection of non-flight eagles here.
This one was less then 20 feet away from us!
Chris and Michael at the beginning of the model car track.
Angie and her pink T-Bird
We actually did this ride both days here.
Hi Michael!
An old-style hamburger joint!
Dolly Parton is famous for her outrageous wigs.  With this device, you can virtually wear them as well.
A short bob cut?
Perhaps something longer?
Or maybe a fuller 80's look?
