penguin chick pictureHI EVERYBODY!!

Antarctica is a pretty cool place to live. By cool I mean freakin' cold. Now Phoenix, where Phil and Angie went a while ago, they don't know from cold. Not much else to say about that.

See you later!

Angie and I decided to take an unusual mid-year weekend trip to celebrate her birthday in 2024.
We went to visit Phoenix, Arizona, on what happened to be when Super Bowl 58 (LVIII if you please) was played.
The Waste Management Phoenix Open aka The People's Open golf tournament was also taking place that weekend.
For what it's worth, the Open was a lot more fun then the football game. It's called the People's Open for a reason.
IYKYK.

Preparing for a new adventure.
So far away...
Getting closer.
Cold in Tonto National Forest.
Native fish
Just across the bridge..
...is Steamboat Dolly!
Our first view of Canyon Lake.
Lots of life preservers.
Not sure if the REALLY little one gets one.
Wonder how deep it goes.
Mormon Flat Damn. Circa 1925
A wide assortment of colors
As well as landscapes
In theory, an eagles nest up top.
We did see lots of goats
Well, one anyway.
More goats here.
Here as well.
Just around the bend
New sights to see
Clouds parting above
More green then you would expect here.
A bright gateway
A lonely waterfall.
Vistas as far as the eye can see.
Blue skies and desert
The depth is incredible
Not to mention the heights
The first obligitory cactus shot.
The clouds barely
clear the mountain.
Just enjoy the view
Keep out indeed.
Brushland and mountains, all in the same place.
This cactus isn't doing so good.
