We hear people complain from time to time about how sand from beaches get in the most uncomfortable places. If you live on Antarctica, sand isn't a problem. Being eaten by things much bigger then you are. THAT'S a problem.

Along the southern coast of Kaua'i, not too far from where we stayed, is a place called Poipu Beach.
There were lots of crashing waves to watch, as well as two and four legged (finned?) life forms.
We even had an Elvis sighting...sort of.
This was once part of the Elvis movie "Blue Hawaii"
This part of the beach

REALLY active with waves
