HI EVERYBODY!!

It seemed like it took forever, but Wacker Drive finally got finished, sort of.  Here are some of the pictures of the last part of it.

Wacker Drive Reconstruction Phase 4

For most people, the section of Wacker Drive between Michigan Ave and Wabash Street IS Wacker Drive!  Here are some shots of the final phase and it's somewhat less then ceremonial re-opening.

REALLY big mess!	This USED to be the stairway to Lower Wacker Drive, south of the Chicago River.

Now it's a skeleton of it's former self.	Can't get up from here!	The guys in the trenches.

A diagram of the street.	Like really big Lincoln Logs.	Or is it an Erector Set?

A woven tapestry of metal.	It's now November 26, 2002	The word has finally come down!

Chicago went from this...	to this in just 8 months.  It's somehow fitting that a snowplow should be the first vehicle down the road!	Removing the barriers.

The big deal reopening was at Wacker and State!	All Michigan and Wacker got was snow plows!	Business as usual.
