penguin chick pictureHI EVERYBODY!!

There are a lot of places where you can get a good cup of coffee. Antarctic ice flows aren't one of them. However, it seems Angie and Phil went right to the source on their island vacation. Mom always said it's good to go where things start from.

See you later!

Angie is a big coffee drinker, much more than I am, so the Kauai Coffee tour was kind of a no-brainer.
The tour was a lot more than "here are the coffee beans, here is where we process them, check out the gift shop" type tour.
It was an interactive tour at the end, as you can see.

Blink and you'll miss the sign
The beginning and the end
Take that Starbucks
They have a whole fleet of trucks
The tour bus is
NOT handicap-friendly, but it's OK
Down a long
lonesome highway
we find coffee plants!
Different kinds too
They start out green
Caffeine gets everybody
Ripe beans
The plantation is right along the south coast of Kaua'i
The beans used to be dried by hand
Lots of beans to dry
This is how it's done kids
These are actual coffee plants that they will put in the ground!
Return to Kaua'i
