penguin chick pictureHI EVERYBODY!!

Mom and I were looking for someplace to take a vacation.  After seeing these pictures, Chicago looks pretty nice in the winter to us!

See you later!

Most of these pictures were taken over a three day period in late January during sub-freezing, and sometimes sub-zero temperatures!  Toss in a nice breeze off Lake Michigan, a little freezing rain and even by Chicago standards, that's freakin' cold!!

Chicago's frozen skyline
This is a "do-it-yourself" panoramic view of the Chicago skyline, shot from Monroe Harbor, between the Adler Planaterium and Shedd Aquarium. Can you find the seams?

Anybody want to tickle these ivories?
Some pretty strange ice formations.

It's as if the city was split in two by Navy Pier, seperating the two giant landmark buildings..
...each one claiming it's own piece of the city, with Lake Point Tower as a Neutral Zone.
